‘Kia ora, my name is Chris and I am originally from Wainuiomata. I spent 13 years in Melbourne where I worked in a specialist school for 5 years, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had two beautiful daughters born in Australia then came home and had our son, two lovely mokopuna and a step-daughter join our whānau.
I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoying our beautiful bush walks and beaches. Being an ECE teacher, the most rewarding and enjoyable career, I look forward to teaching young children everyday’

‘Hi I’m Emma. I finished my graduate diploma of Primary Teaching in 2011. I thoroughly enjoy teaching young children in all areas of literacy and arts. I like finding new and innovative ways to share my knowledge and enjoyment in both areas with our children at Jack and Jill. I believe children’s learning should be hands on, creative and fun!
I have two children, Baylee and Jaxon who I adore. My weekends normally consist of lots of travelling to and from dancing, as Baylee is such an avid dancer. While Baylee dances, Jax and I enjoy exploring and finding new parks to play in and enjoy. In any spare time I can grasp I like to be creative and try different types of Art. But spending time with my children is ultimately my favourite thing to do!’
Bachelor of Arts in Education Psychology; Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) / Provisional registration / First aid
‘I believe it is important to form reciprocal responsive relationships with the children, their families, staff and the community to set up a pathway of lifelong learning. Early childhood education is a critical first step in building the foundation for a child’s learning and development. This is one of two main reasons why I choose this sector to teach in. The other reason is my love for young children!
I do not have much spare time as I have a 18 month old son, Lachlan who keeps me on my feet. I enjoy dancing, watching sport such as Rugby, League and V8 Supercars.’
